Leisure Concepts

Leisure Concepts makes the CoverMate III cover lift range for hot tubs, including centre coupler bars and left and right support arms. At PoolParthub.com you will find replacement lift components for the CoverMate III system, so you can keep your spa cover easy to lift. With the right part, you can repair instead of replace.

Leisure Concepts cover lift parts and CoverMate III components

Cover lifters take a surprising amount of punishment. Every time a spa cover is opened and closed, the support arms pivot, the coupler bar takes the weight of the folded cover, and the mounting points absorb the twist of a cover that is rarely lifted perfectly evenly. Over several seasons, with UV exposure and winter weather on top, individual arms and bars wear, bend or crack long before the rest of the mechanism gives up. Here you will find replacement components for the CoverMate III lift, so a single damaged part does not mean replacing the whole assembly.

The CoverMate III lift mechanism

The CoverMate III is a cover lift built around a pair of pivoting support arms, one on each side of the spa, joined across the back by a centre coupler bar. The cover sits in the cradle these parts form; when the lift is operated, the arms rotate and the cover folds back behind the spa, where the coupler bar holds it in position. Because the left and right arms are mirror images rather than identical parts, and because the coupler bar links the two, the three components in this range cover the main load-bearing elements of the assembly.

The parts listed here are identified by their Leisure Concepts reference numbers, which is the quickest way to order correctly:

  • 100003 – centre coupler bar, the cross member that joins the two support arms and carries the folded cover.
  • 100029 – left side support arm supplied with its retainer, the pivoting arm on the left-hand side of the spa.
  • 100028 – right-hand support arm, the mirrored counterpart to the left arm.

Working out which part you need

Start by looking at the lift from the position you normally stand in to open the cover, facing the spa. Left and right are described from that viewpoint on most cover lift documentation, so confirm which side the damaged arm sits on before ordering: the left arm (100029) and the right arm (100028) are not interchangeable and cannot be swapped from one side to the other.

A few checks that help avoid ordering the wrong component:

  • Compare the reference number – many Leisure Concepts parts carry a moulded or stamped number. If the old part is still readable, that number is the most reliable guide.
  • Check the parts diagram – cover lift exploded views number each arm, bar, bracket and fastener separately. Matching the position number on the diagram to the part description removes most of the guesswork.
  • Confirm the model – Leisure Concepts has produced several CoverMate generations, and arms from one generation do not necessarily fit another. The parts here are specified for the CoverMate III.
  • Look at the retainer – the left arm is listed with its retainer included, so check whether the existing retainer is still sound or whether it is the component that has actually failed.
  • Inspect the pivot and fixings – a cover that drags or sits unevenly is sometimes caused by worn pivot hardware rather than a bent arm.

Signs an arm or coupler bar needs replacing

Cover lift problems usually show up as a cover that no longer folds squarely, sits lopsided when open, or needs extra force to move. Visible cracking around a pivot point, a bar that has bowed under the weight of a waterlogged cover, or play that has developed in one arm are all reasons to fit a new component rather than persevere. A heavy, saturated spa cover is often the underlying cause, so it is worth checking whether the cover itself has absorbed water before putting a new arm under the same load.

When replacing one side, it is worth inspecting the other arm and the coupler bar at the same time. Parts that have worked together for years tend to have aged together, and fitting a new arm alongside a tired one can transfer stress to the weaker component.

Here we list CoverMate III support arms and the centre coupler bar, referenced by their original part numbers so they can be matched directly against a parts diagram or an existing component. These are the elements that carry the cover and take the strain of daily use, which is why they are the ones most often needed as replacements.

Orders are shipped to customers across Europe. If the part number on the old component is no longer legible, a photograph of the lift and the position of the damaged part is usually enough to confirm whether the left arm, the right arm or the coupler bar is the one required.
