Simaco – SAM2-200 Single-Speed Spa Pump

The Simaco SAM2-200 is a single-speed hot tub pump that powers the massage jets in many Teuco, Spaform and Jean Desjoyaux spa models, among others. It is a 2 kW replacement pump known for its quiet operation, and it is also a good replacement for the SAM2-240. If you need slightly more power, the 240 model from the same SAM2 series is available, and a two-speed version is sold as the Simaco SAM2-200 2-speed pump.

Technical specifications and dimensions

The Simaco SAM2-200 spa pump has the following performance figures:

• Current: 9.5 A
• Flow rate: 650 litres per minute
• Speed of rotation: 2800 rpm

Dimensions without the unions are 336 mm long, 193 mm wide and 228 mm high. Check these against the space in your cabinet before ordering.

Wet end orientation and plug type

The wet end of the SAM2-200 can be ordered with a standard outlet, or with a 90° outlet to the left or to the right. This model is not available with a 45° outlet.

The pump cable is approximately 120 cm long and is available without a plug or with an AMP plug. The plug types offered are AMP, J&J and in.link.

If your installation uses a mini J&J plug, select the AMP plug option and use an adapter from AMP to mini J&J (sold separately). Alternatively, reuse the cable from your existing pump if it is in good condition.

Pipe connections and unions

The pump has a male thread with an outside diameter of 66 mm. It is supplied with its pump unions (nut and exit) for 50 mm pipe, as also listed separately as the Simaco 50 mm pump union.

If your plumbing is different, a single nut is also available to use with a 2-inch exit or a 63 mm exit. Do not forget the gasket.

How to choose the right Simaco pump

Before ordering, check the model on the label of your current pump, and decide which of these options fits your spa:

• Outlet direction: standard, left or right (90°)
• Plug type: AMP, J&J or in.link
• Pipe connection: 50 mm unions supplied, or a separate nut for a 2-inch or 63 mm exit
