LX Pump Co. - WP250-II 2-Speed Spa Pump - WP250-II

LX Pump Co. – WP250-II 2-Speed Spa Pump

The LX Whirlpool WP250-II is a two-speed hot tub pump: a low speed for filtration and heating, and a high speed that runs the massage jets. It is supplied with unions for 2-inch pipe, which makes it a practical replacement spa pump. The WP200-II and WP300-II from the same series have different motor powers, so check the model before you order.

WP250-II pump performance and specifications

The WP250-II spa pump switches between a quiet, low-power speed for everyday circulation and a stronger speed for hydrotherapy. The main figures are:

• Power on high speed: 1.9 kW (2.05 HP)
• Power on low speed: 0.4 kW
• Maximum flow rate: 670 litres per minute

Connections, cable and plug

The outflow and intake both have a male thread with a 78 mm outside diameter. The pump is supplied with unions and gaskets for 2-inch pipe (diameter 60 mm).

The WP250-II is available pre-cabled with an AMP plug and a 130 cm cable. If your installation uses a mini J&J plug, you will need an adapter from AMP to mini J&J (sold separately), or you can reuse the cable from your existing pump if it is in good condition.

The pump is also listed with standard exit, exit to left, exit to top left, exit to right and exit to top right wet end orientations, and with AMP, J&J and in.link plug types.

Dimensions

• Length: 445 mm
• Width: 202 mm
• Height: 235 mm

Compare these measurements with the space in your cabinet before ordering.

How to choose the right replacement pump

The WP300-II is identical to the WP250-II but has a higher motor power, while the WP200-II is another pump in the same series. The Koller 2,5 HP and the Aqua-Flo Flo-Master XP2e have the same motor power and thread size as the WP250-II, with roughly similar dimensions.

If you replace your pump with a different model, check the available space and the fixing distances first, as pipe connection adjustments may be necessary.

The WP250-II is also known under these part numbers: Watkins 0982801-03 and Volition 25WP or PW250.
