This HydroQuip cord with an AMP plug is a replacement hot tub pump cable for 2-speed spa pumps. It connects the pump to your spa control system: wire the four conductors to the pump and plug the AMP connector straight into the control system. It is also a practical way to convert a pump from mini-J&J plugs to AMP plugs after a control system upgrade.

How the 2-speed pump cord is wired

The cord has four wires: two lives, one for each pump speed, plus neutral and earth. Connect these four wires to the pump, then plug the AMP plug directly into the control system. Because the plug end is ready-made, there is no need to wire the control system side by hand.

The cable insulation is designed for long-term use in spas and is resistant to heat and humidity, which suits a hot tub equipment bay.

When you need an AMP cord for your pump
