The LX Whirlpool LP250 is a single-speed 2.5 HP spa pump, used to feed the massage jets and frequently installed on single-speed hot tub models. As a replacement hot tub pump it is cross-referenced to Watkins (HotSpring / Caldera) 0977601-01 and Spanet XS-30 / XS-30S.

It belongs to a range that also includes the LP150, LP200 and LP300, which have different power ratings, so check the rating before you order.

LP250 pump compatibility and part numbers

The LP250 is a single-speed massage pump. If your current pump is listed under one of the numbers below, the LP250 is the matching LX Whirlpool model:

Technical data and dimensions

The LP250 delivers 1.9 kW (2.5 HP) and a maximum flow rate of 600 litres per minute. Dimensions without fittings are:

Measure the space in your cabinet and your fixing distances against these figures before removing the old pump.

Choosing the right pump, wet end and plug

The wet end orientation can be chosen to suit your pipework: standard exit, exit to left, exit to top left, exit to right or exit to top right. The plug types listed are AMP, J&J and in.link.

The pump is delivered pre-cabled with an AMP plug. Installations fitted with a mini J&J plug need an adapter from AMP to mini J&J (sold separately), or you can reuse the cable from your existing pump if it is in good condition.

The Koller 2.5 HP, Waterway Executive and Balboa Sta-Rite DuraJet pumps have the same motor power and thread size as the LP250, with roughly similar dimensions. If you swap to one of these models, check the available space and fixing distances first, as pipe connection adjustments may be necessary.

What is included

The pump comes with unions and o-rings for 2-inch pipes (60 mm diameter), so it can be connected to standard pipework of that size.
