Waterway – Barb Adapter 1/4″ SB x 1/4″ MPT for Waterway Pumps

The Waterway 715-1261 barb adapter (1/4″ SB x 1/4″ MPT) is a small replacement fitting for hot tub pumps. It screws into a quarter-inch MPT thread and has a smooth fitting that slides inside 1/4-inch pipes.

Typical uses: pump drain and air bleed

The adapter is often fitted at the drainage point of a pump. It can also be screwed into an air bleed valve.

On Waterway Hi-Flo and Executive pumps, for example, it can be used instead of a drain plug. That gives you a way to bleed air out of the pump and helps to prime it quickly after the hot tub has been emptied and refilled.
