Waterway – 3/8 Inch Plastic Hose Clamp for Waterway Air Hoses

This Waterway 3/8 inch plastic pipe clamp is a replacement hose clip for 3/8 inch air hoses on a hot tub or spa. It can also replace the clamp used in some Waterway chlorine diffusers.

It is a small plastic clip sold on its own, so it is a simple way to renew a worn or missing clamp without changing the hose or the fitting it sits on.

Compatibility

This plastic clamp is intended for two uses:

• 3/8 inch air hoses
• Replacing the clamp fitted to some Waterway chlorine diffusers

Not every Waterway chlorine diffuser uses this clamp, so look at the clip on your own diffuser before you order a replacement.

How to choose the right hose clamp

Start with the hose. The clamp is made for 3/8 inch hose, so it is not a general-purpose clip for other hose sizes. If your spa has a different size of air hose, this clamp is not the right part.

If you are replacing the clamp on a chlorine diffuser, compare the clip currently fitted with the photo and description on this page. Only some Waterway diffusers use this type of clamp.

Fitting and size

The clamp is made of plastic and is tightened around the hose to hold it in place. Once tightened to its maximum, it reaches its smallest inside diameter, so make sure the hose you are securing is suitable for this size of clip.

Before removing the old clamp, note how it sits on the hose or diffuser so that the new one can be fitted in the same position.
