Waterway – 1.5″ 90° Sweep Elbow F/F

The Waterway 411-9110 is a 1.5-inch 90° sweep elbow (F/F) for hot tub and spa pipework. It joins two 1.5-inch pipes, rigid or flexible, at a right angle, which makes it a simple replacement or addition wherever a pipe run has to change direction. It is made from ABS plastic and has an inside diameter of 48 mm.

Where this 90° sweep elbow is used

This Waterway elbow connects 1.5-inch pipes together in the plumbing of a hot tub or spa. It works with either rigid or flexible 1.5-inch pipe, so it can be used wherever two lengths of pipe need to meet at a 90-degree turn.

The F/F in the product name means the fitting is female at both ends, so it is a pipe-to-pipe connector for joining two runs of pipe.

How to choose the right size

Pipe sizes are often quoted in inches, while the measurement you take at home may be in millimetres. This elbow is a 1.5-inch size with an inside diameter of 48 mm, so compare these figures with your existing pipe and fittings before you order. Remember that this fitting changes direction by 90 degrees only. If your pipe run needs a different angle or a straight connection, you will need a different fitting.

The elbow is sold on its own, without pipe. For the straight sections of your plumbing, 1.5-inch pipe is available separately:

• 1.5″ rigid ABS pipe x 1 m
• 1.5″ flexible pipe
• 1.5″ rigid PVC pipe x 1 m

Fitting and dimensions

The Waterway 411-9110 sweep elbow is made from ABS plastic and has an inside diameter of 48 mm. When replacing a damaged or worn elbow, check that the old part is also a 1.5-inch, 90-degree fitting and that it connects pipe at both ends in the same way as this one.

Measure the space available around the pipe run before fitting, so that the new elbow lines up with the pipes on both sides.
