The Poolex Blue Silk filtration unit is a 2-in-1 sand filter and circulation pump designed for above-ground pools up to 20 m³. It combines pumping and filtration in one compact unit to help keep pool water clean and clear. With a maximum flow of 3 m³/h and a 60 W pump, it suits owners of small above-ground pools who want simple equipment.

Key features of the Blue Silk filtration unit

This above-ground pool filtration unit is built around a sand filter tank and an integrated pump, so there is no separate pump to position or connect. The tank accepts the filter medium of your choice.

How it works

Water is drawn in by the pump and passes through the filter medium inside the tank, which retains impurities. A pre-filter at the pump inlet catches larger particles before they can damage the pump.

The 6-way valve lets you switch between filtration, backwash, rinse, drain, recirculation and closed positions, so routine cleaning of the filter and draining can be done from the same unit. The pressure gauge shows when the filter is becoming clogged.

Filter media and capacity

The tank is compatible with quartz sand, glass or Pureflow polymer media. Its capacity is 10 kg of sand or 130 g of Pureflow polymer filter media.

The pump sits discreetly in the base of the unit, which keeps the whole filtration unit compact and allows it to be installed in fairly restricted spaces.

Which pool is it suited to?

The Blue Silk is intended for above-ground pools up to 20 m³. If your pool is larger, a unit with a higher flow rate would be more appropriate. Choose the filter medium that fits your needs: sand or glass in the tank, or the lighter Pureflow polymer option.
