CTX – CTX-1597 Natural Flocculant – 1 L
CTX-1597 Natural Flocculant is a liquid concentrate for clarifying cloudy pool water. According to the manufacturer, it helps remove traces of body oils and creams, organic matter, foam and excess metals. It is chitosan-based, contains no polyacrylamides and comes in a 1 L dosing bottle.
How it works
The flocculant is added to the pool water to clear turbidity. It removes traces of body oils and creams as well as organic matter and excess metals, which keeps the water clear and helps the filter collect dirt.
The manufacturer states that it reduces filter washing time and improves the performance of electrochlorinators, so it is suitable for pools with salt electrolysis. It is not a biocide and does not replace your disinfectant.
How to use
First check the filter pressure and clean the filter if necessary. Pour the dose directly into the pool and spread it evenly over the water surface. No premixing is needed.
Keep the filtration system running for at least six hours after adding the product. Add it preferably at dusk and with no swimmers in the water.
Dosage
Maintenance, residential pool: with the filtration running and no bathers in the water, add 40 ml per 50 m³ of water every week.
Commercial or heavily used pool: treat the water twice a week with a double or triple dose of the standard dose.
Recovery treatment (turbid water): use double or triple the standard dose.
These are guideline doses only. Adapt them to the characteristics of your pool, the climate and so on. Read the label and the safety data sheet (attached on the product page) before use.
Good to know
The manufacturer describes the product as compatible with most disinfection treatments. Store the container between 5 and 35 °C in a dry, well-ventilated place, away from heat, food, oxidising agents and highly acidic or alkaline materials. After opening, close the container carefully and keep it upright to prevent spills.
Keep out of reach of children. Use only as recommended on the label.
