Balboa – VL200 Spa Topside Control Panel Without Overlay

The Balboa VL200 (G8220) is a replacement hot tub control panel, a spa topside keypad for Balboa GS100, GS500Z, GS501Z and GS511Z control systems. It has a 2 m cable with an RJ45 plug. This version is supplied without its overlay, so you choose the Balboa 3-button VL200 overlay or the Balboa VL200 overlay, 4 buttons separately.

VL200 compatibility with Balboa GS systems

This spa control panel is compatible with the following Balboa control systems:

• GS100
• GS500Z
• GS501Z
• GS511Z

If you are not sure whether your spa uses one of these systems, check the part number on your current keypad before ordering a replacement.

The VL200 keypad has 4 buttons, which control the following functions:

• Temperature control
• Light
• Jets
• Blower

The overlay is available with 3 buttons or with 4 buttons. Pick the one that matches the layout you need.

Which VL200 part number do you need?

Balboa lists the VL200 under two part numbers, depending on whether the overlay is fitted:

• With overlay: 52144
• Without overlay: G8220 (replaces part number 53280)

Fitting and dimensions

Check that your spa cabinet or topside has the right opening for the keypad before you order:

• Keypad: 109 x 41 mm
• Cut-out area: 95 x 25 mm
• Cable length: 2 m
• Connection: RJ45 plug

Compare the RJ45 plug with the one on your existing keypad to make sure the connection matches.
