AstralPool - Skimmer Vacuum Plate with Plug (Skim Vac) for Astral 15 L Skimmers - 4402010104A

AstralPool – Skimmer Vacuum Plate with Plug (Skim Vac) for Astral 15 L Skimmers

This is a genuine AstralPool OEM vacuum plate with plug (also known as a Skim Vac) designed for AstralPool Astral 15-litre skimmers. It fits over the skimmer basket and provides a sealed port into which the pool vacuum hose connects, directing all suction through the hose while keeping collected debris in the skimmer basket rather than the pump strainer. The included plug allows the vacuum port to be closed off when the plate is used in standard skimming mode.

Compatibility

This part (4402010104A) is a direct OEM spare for AstralPool Astral 15 L skimmer assemblies, including models fitted with round covers and those fitted with square covers for liner pools. It is the dedicated Skim Vac component listed in AstralPool’s official spare parts catalogue for these skimmer families. Always verify against your skimmer’s model number before ordering.

Why genuine matters

Made from UV-stabilised ABS to match the material and tolerances of the original AstralPool skimmer body, this genuine spare ensures a proper seal between the plate and basket seat. An ill-fitting aftermarket plate can cause suction loss, allow debris to bypass the basket, and ultimately strain the pump. Choosing an authentic AstralPool part protects the entire filtration circuit.

Installation

To use, remove the skimmer lid and basket, place the vacuum plate over the skimmer basket seat so it seats flush, then refit the basket underneath. Connect the primed vacuum hose to the plate’s inlet port. When vacuuming is complete, remove the hose and insert the supplied plug to restore normal skimming operation. No tools are required for fitting or removal.
