The AstralPool Maxim 3.5 HP is a high-capacity single-speed pool circulation pump engineered for large residential and semi-commercial pools. Running at 2,860 rpm with a 3.5 HP motor, it delivers the flow rates required for pools with large water volumes, long pipe runs, or high-resistance filtration systems. The pump body and supports are manufactured from glass-reinforced thermoplastic, offering excellent chemical resistance against chlorine, salt, and algaecide treatments. The motor shaft tip is made from AISI-316 stainless steel, providing corrosion resistance in wet environments, and the motor is double-insulated with IP55 protection — suitable for outdoor installation in exposed locations.
Pre-filter and hydraulics
The Maxim integrates an 8-litre pre-filter basket with a transparent lid, allowing easy visual inspection of debris accumulation without switching off the pump. The large basket capacity reduces the frequency of cleaning intervals on heavily loaded pools. The pump uses 3-inch threaded connections, accommodating high-flow pipework for installations requiring maximum hydraulic performance.
