AstralPool – Internal Collector Manifold Assembly Ø500 mm Sand Filter

This is the genuine AstralPool replacement collector manifold assembly for AstralPool sand filters with a 500 mm (Ø500) diameter tank. Comprising a central standpipe and slotted lateral collector arms, this internal assembly distributes and collects water evenly across the filter bed during both filtration and backwash cycles, ensuring consistent flow and effective media cleaning.

Compatibility

Designed specifically for AstralPool sand or glass-media filter vessels with a 500 mm tank diameter (parent reference 55610100). It occupies position 16 in the official Fluidra exploded-view diagram. Always verify your filter model and tank diameter against your original parts documentation before ordering, as this assembly is size-specific and will not fit larger or smaller diameter vessels.

Why Genuine Matters

As an OEM AstralPool part manufactured under Fluidra quality standards, this collector assembly is precision-moulded to match the exact internal geometry of the Ø500 mm tank. A correctly seated manifold prevents media bypass, channelling, and uneven flow — problems that commonly arise with non-genuine or incorrectly sized substitutes. Using a genuine part also protects your filter warranty and ensures long-term reliability.

Installation

Replacement of the internal collector manifold requires draining and opening the filter tank. The assembly should be carefully aligned with the central outlet port and all lateral arms seated flat on the tank floor before the filter media is refilled. Professional installation is recommended if you are not familiar with sand filter servicing procedures.
