AstralPool – filter manifold assembly Ø600 mm (8 arms)

This is the genuine AstralPool replacement manifold assembly for the Aster D.600 sand filter. The assembly comprises a central collector header and 8 lateral arms that sit at the base of the filter tank, collecting filtered water and channelling it back to the pool while retaining all filter media — sand, glass, or multigrain — inside the vessel. Replacing a cracked or damaged manifold assembly restores full filtration performance and prevents filter media from entering pool return lines.

How it works

The manifold arms distribute incoming water evenly across the filtration bed during the filter cycle, ensuring the entire media depth is utilised for maximum dirt removal. During backwash, flow is reversed through the same arms to flush trapped debris to waste. The slotted lateral design retains even fine filter media particles, preventing bypass and protecting downstream pool equipment.

Compatibility

This assembly is designed specifically for the AstralPool Aster series laminated polyester and fibreglass sand filter with a 600 mm (24″) tank diameter. Always verify your filter model and tank diameter before ordering, as manifold assemblies are not interchangeable between different tank sizes.

Why genuine matters

Genuine AstralPool manifold arms are manufactured from chemical-resistant polypropylene and PVC plastic engineered to withstand continuous exposure to pool water, sanitisers, and operating pressures up to 2.5 kg/cm². Non-genuine alternatives may not match the precise slot dimensions or arm length of the Aster D.600 tank, risking media bypass or poor flow distribution that reduces filtration quality.
