Aqua-Flo – Flo-Master XP2e 3HP Single-Speed Hot Tub Pump

The Aqua-Flo Flo-Master XP2e 3HP, part number 05253000-6040, is a single-speed hot tub massage pump with a 2.2 kW motor, described by the manufacturer as a 3 HP pump. It has the same dimensions as the Aqua-Flo Flo-Master XP2 single-speed pump and is also sold under the Gecko brand. Use it as a replacement spa pump where you need the 2.2 kW version.

Replacing older Aqua-Flo and Theramax pumps

The XP2e is a good option to replace several older models, including a number of Theramax pumps. The 1.5HP, 2HP and 2.5HP versions of the XP2e are no longer manufactured and have been replaced by the XP2, so this 3HP version is the XP2e still available.

Pipe connections and unions

The pump has a male thread (2-inch MBT) with an outside diameter of 78 mm. It is supplied with pump unions for 2-inch pipes.

If your plumbing is different, you can instead choose pump unions for 1.5-inch pipes or for 63 mm pipes.

Choosing the plug and wet end orientation

The XP2e pump is available with an AMP plug. The wet end can be ordered with a standard exit, an exit to the left or an exit to the right, so check how your current pump is positioned.

If your installation uses a mini J&J plug, select the AMP plug option and use an adapter from AMP to mini J&J (sold separately). Alternatively, you can reuse the cable from your existing pump if it is in good condition.
