Altuglas – Adapter Plate for Balboa TP700 Keypad
This adapter plate lets you mount a Balboa TP700 keypad over an opening that was originally cut for a larger hot tub control panel, such as the Balboa TP900 keypad, which is no longer available. It gives you a neat and clean way to fit a replacement spa topside keypad without having to alter the existing cut-out. Note that this is the plate only, not the keypad itself.
When you need a TP700 adapter plate
The TP900 is a larger keypad and is no longer available. If your spa was built around that keypad and it needs replacing, the hole in the cabinet or surround will be bigger than a TP700 requires. This adapter plate is designed for exactly that situation: it bridges the difference so the smaller TP700 can be mounted over the existing opening.
The same approach applies to any hole that was made for a larger keypad than the TP700, provided the opening is covered by the dimensions given below.
Dimensions of the adapter plate
Check the measurements carefully against your own spa before ordering:
- Outside: 280 x 116 mm
- Inside: 223 x 60 mm
The outside size is the overall size of the plate, which has to cover the old opening. The inside size is the opening in the plate where the TP700 keypad sits. Measure the existing cut-out in your spa and compare it with these figures to be sure the plate will cover it.
How to choose the right part
Start by identifying the keypad currently fitted, or the one that used to be fitted, and measure the hole it leaves. If the opening was made for a TP900 or another larger keypad and you want to fit a TP700, an adapter plate is the right accessory. If the opening already suits the TP700, you do not need this plate.
Make sure you choose the correct keypad as well: the Balboa TP700 control panel is the keypad this plate is made for.
