Duratech pool lighting, transformers and installation parts
Duratech supplies underwater lighting and the hardware that goes with it, sold under the Duravision name for the lights and electronics. The range here covers low-voltage LED pool lights in several light outputs, toroidal transformers to feed them, a control unit for dimming and colour, and the mounting parts that fix a light into a concrete, liner or panel pool wall. Because the lights, the power supply and the wall conduits all come from the same family, it is straightforward to put together a complete lighting circuit rather than mixing components that were never designed to work together.
The Duravision VISION Moonlight LED range
The VISION Moonlight lights are split into two groups by light type. The PLS models are RGB multicolour units and the PLW models produce cool white. Within each group the number in the code indicates the size and output step, so the choice is mainly a question of how much light a pool needs and how many fittings are planned.
- PLS300B – 13W RGB multicolour, 800lm, the smallest of the colour units.
- PLS400B – 23W RGB multicolour, 1550lm, the mid-size colour option.
- PLS700B – 33W RGB multicolour, 2200lm, for larger pools or wider spacing.
- PLW300B – 14W cool white, 1350lm.
- PLW400B – 23W cool white, 2400lm.
- PLW700B – 35W cool white, 3500lm.
A white light always gives more lumens per watt than the same fitting running in colour, which is why the PLW figures are higher than the PLS figures at a similar wattage. If the pool is used mainly for swimming in the evening, white gives the clearest view of the floor and the steps. If the lighting is there to set a mood on a terrace, the RGB units are the ones to look at. Many owners mix the two along a long pool, with white on the swimming lane and colour at the shallow end.
TR transformers and the PLP-REM control unit
Low-voltage pool lights need a 12V supply, and the TR series toroidal transformers are the matching power source. They are offered in three ratings and two mounting styles:
- TR150 – 150W, available as IP64 enclosure or DIN rail version.
- TR350 – 350W, available as IP64 enclosure or DIN rail version.
- TR700 – 700W, available as IP64 enclosure or DIN rail version.
The IP64 versions arrive in their own enclosure and suit a wall in a plant room or a pump house where there is no cabinet to build into. The DIN rail versions are intended for installations that already have a control panel, so the transformer sits on the rail alongside the breakers and timers. To size one, add up the wattage of every light on the circuit and leave headroom rather than loading the transformer to its limit; cable runs to a pool are often long, and a transformer that is comfortably rated will cope better with the voltage drop over that distance.
The PLP-REM control unit adds dimming and DMX control, which is what makes a group of RGB fittings behave as one scene instead of individual lamps. All electrical work on pool lighting circuits should be carried out by a qualified electrician in line with local wiring regulations for swimming pools.
Wall conduits, face plates and the tool kit
The mechanical parts decide whether a light sits flush and seals properly. The 1.5″ wall conduits are offered in a stainless steel thin version and in concrete/liner versions, including a short 1.5″ concrete/liner variant, so the fitting can be matched to the wall build-up. A thin conduit suits a panel or liner pool where there is little depth behind the wall; the concrete versions are cast or set into a thicker structure. When replacing, measure the existing conduit’s thread size and the depth available behind the wall before ordering, and check whether the original was a liner installation with a clamping flange or a concrete fitting rendered in place.
- Face plate RO Adagio 170mm – stainless steel trim ring, measured across the visible diameter.
- Trusă de unelte Duratech – for handling and servicing the fittings during installation and lamp changes.
Face plates are a common standalone purchase: the plate is the part that takes the knocks and shows water staining, while the conduit stays in the wall for the life of the pool. Measure the outside diameter of the old plate before choosing a replacement.

Here you will find the Duravision VISION Moonlight lights in both RGB and cool white, the full span of TR toroidal transformers in IP64 and DIN rail form, the PLP-REM control unit, and the wall conduits, face plates and tooling that complete an installation.
The range is kept together so that a light, a correctly rated 12V supply and the right wall fitting can be chosen in one place, whether the job is a new pool build or a single failed fitting in an existing wall. If a code is stamped on the old light or conduit, that code is the quickest route to the matching part.
