LA Spas

LA Spas is a hot tub brand, and the spare parts we stock for its spas include wall and corner headrests. At PoolParthub.com you will find headrests for LA Spas hot tubs, including a wall headrest for 2006-2011 models and a corner headrest, so a worn or damaged one can be swapped quickly. The right part lets you repair your spa instead of replacing it.

LA Spas hot tub parts and headrests

Headrests are among the first parts of a hot tub to show their age. They sit at the waterline, take the full force of sunlight, ozone and sanitiser, and are handled every time someone climbs in or out. Here you will find replacement headrests for L.A. Spas hot tubs, including the wall-mounted FD-62031 for models built between 2006 and 2011 and the corner headrest FD-62021. Both are direct replacements for tired, faded or waterlogged pillows, and fitting one is usually the quickest way to make an older shell feel cared for again.

Why spa headrests wear out

A spa pillow lives in the harshest part of the tub. Water splashes over it, chemically treated vapour collects under the cover, and the surface dries and reheats every time the lid comes off. Over a few seasons that combination tends to produce the same handful of symptoms.

  • Fading and chalking — UV exposure lightens the surface and leaves a dull, powdery finish that no longer cleans up.
  • Delamination — the outer skin lifts away from the foam core, often starting at a corner or along a seam.
  • Waterlogging — once the skin splits, water enters the core and the pillow becomes heavy, spongy and slow to dry.
  • Broken mounts — the pegs, clips or inserts on the back snap off, leaving the headrest loose or floating away during use.
  • Staining — concentrated sanitiser or an unbalanced water chemistry can bleach patches that will not recover.

None of this affects how the spa runs, but a failed pillow is the part bathers notice most, and a waterlogged one can shed material into the water.

Choosing between a wall and a corner headrest

L.A. Spas shells use more than one pillow shape, so the first thing to establish is where the part sits. A wall headrest, such as the FD-62031, is designed for a straight run of shell behind a lounger or bench seat. A corner headrest like the FD-62021 is shaped to wrap the angle where two walls meet, and will not sit flat against a straight section. Ordering by position rather than by appearance avoids the most common mistake.

Beyond position, check the following before ordering:

  • Production year — the FD-62031 is listed for hot tubs built between 2006 and 2011. Cabinet labels, the serial plate or original paperwork will usually confirm the year.
  • Mounting method — look behind the old pillow for pegs that push into slots in the shell, a sliding bracket or a pair of plastic inserts. Replacements must match the system already moulded into the acrylic.
  • Peg spacing — measure centre to centre between the two mounting points. This single figure rules out most incorrect parts.
  • Overall size — take the width and height of the existing headrest, and note the curve of the face if it is strongly contoured.
  • Aantal — many tubs use several identical pillows. Replacing them as a set keeps the colour consistent, since a single new one next to five sun-bleached originals is very visible.

Fitting and looking after a replacement

Most spa headrests are removed by lifting firmly upwards or pulling the pegs straight out of their slots; nothing needs to be unscrewed in the majority of cases. Clean the shell behind the old pillow before fitting the new one, as grime collects in the recess. Push the mounts home squarely rather than at an angle, and do not force a pillow that clearly does not line up.

To extend the life of a new headrest, remove it when the tub will stand unused for a long period, keep sanitiser dosing within normal limits, and avoid leaving pillows in direct sun on the cover. Wiping them with clean water after heavy use removes the residue that causes staining.

Here we list replacement headrests for L.A. Spas hot tubs, covering both the straight wall position and the corner position, with the part reference shown on each product so it can be checked against the pillow already in the spa.

Comfort parts are often the reason an otherwise sound hot tub feels past its best, and they are among the simplest items to swap without tools or a service visit. Keeping references such as FD-62021 and FD-62031 available means an older shell can be brought back to a presentable state rather than lived with.
