CTX robotic pool cleaner spare parts

CTX robotic cleaners are used on domestic and semi-public pools across Europe, and like every robot that spends its life being dragged over tiles and liner, they are made to be repaired rather than replaced. Here you will find the components that keep a Typhoon running: filters and filter screens, drive motors and complete motor boxes, power supply units, side plates, covers, bumpers, handles, body assemblies and even the self-tapping screws that hold it all together. Most of these parts carry their own reference, which makes it possible to order a single item instead of a whole machine.

Which models the range covers

The parts listed here are grouped around three closely related machines, and knowing which one is in the pool shed is the first step in ordering correctly.

  • Typhoon 4 (66019) — filter screen assemblies, drive motor, side covers and side plate assemblies, top water outlet cover, carrying handle and the complete robot body assembly.
  • Typhoon Top 3 Duo — motors box assembly, round side plates, side plate bumpers, top handle assembly and body assembly.
  • Typhoon Top 5 Duo (66020) — replacement filter, power supply unit, motors box assembly, round side plate and top outlet.

The model name is usually printed on the top of the robot or on the label of the power supply, and the numeric code (66019, 66020) often appears on the original packaging and in the manual. Because some external parts look almost identical between the Typhoon 4 and the Top Duo versions while the mountings differ, it is worth confirming both the name and the code before ordering a body, a side plate or a cover.

Parts that wear out first

A robotic cleaner fails in a fairly predictable order, and the symptoms point to the component.

  • Filters and filter screens — the consumable item. Clogged or torn media reduces suction and makes the unit leave debris behind; a spare set means one can be drying while the other is in use.
  • Drive motors and motor boxes — a robot that climbs on one side only, stalls, or stops tracking normally is often a motor or gearbox issue. The motors box assembly replaces the sealed drive unit as a whole rather than attempting an internal repair.
  • Power supply unit — if the cleaner is completely dead and the cable and connector check out, the external supply is the usual suspect. These are matched to the model, so the unit for a Top 5 Duo should not be substituted.
  • Side plates, covers and bumpers — the first parts to suffer from knocks against walls, steps and pool corners. Cracked plates let grit into the drive and should be replaced early.
  • Handles, outlets and fasteners — handles take the whole wet weight of the machine when it is lifted out, and small screws corrode. A broken handle or a missing screw is a cheap fix that prevents a bigger one.

Reading part numbers and exploded views

CTX references follow recognisable patterns. Codes beginning AS are assemblies and sub-assemblies, PP references are plastic mouldings such as covers, outlets and bumpers, and HW references are hardware items like the #12 × 3/4″ DIN 7981 self-tapping screw. Suffixes on moulded parts normally indicate the colour or finish — BL, GY, DG and similar — so a visual comparison with the part on the machine helps confirm the match.

Many items are also listed with a position number, for example the Typhoon 4 side plate assembly at position 220 or the screw at position 95. Those numbers refer to the exploded diagram in the service documentation for that model. If the diagram is to hand, matching the position number is the most reliable method available; if it is not, compare the shape, the fixing holes and, where relevant, the length and diameter of the old part before ordering.

CTX at PoolParthub.com

Here we list spare parts for the CTX Typhoon 4, Typhoon Top 3 Duo and Typhoon Top 5 Duo, covering both the wear items such as filters and the structural components such as bodies, side plates and motor boxes. The aim is to make a single-component repair possible, so that a cracked cover or a tired drive motor does not mean buying a new cleaner.

If there is any doubt about compatibility, note the model name, the 660xx code and any reference printed on the existing part, and compare them with the listing before ordering. That small check is what keeps a repair straightforward.
