Profec DN50 Ductile Iron Swing Check Valve with Epoxy Coating — DIN Flange PN10/16
This heavy-duty non-return valve is engineered for reliable backflow prevention in water supply, irrigation mains, pool plant rooms, and industrial pipework. The body and disc are cast from ductile iron GGG40, providing superior impact resistance and tensile strength compared to standard grey cast iron. An internal and external blue epoxy coating guards against corrosion, making the valve equally suitable for potable water systems and chemically mild process lines within its rated temperature range of −20 °C to +100 °C.
The swing-check mechanism operates on a straightforward gravity- and pressure-assisted principle: flow in the permitted direction lifts the disc clear of the seat, while reverse pressure or gravity closes it automatically without any actuator or manual intervention. The NBR rubber-faced disc seats against a carbon/NBR composite seat ring, ensuring a low-cracking pressure of just 1 bar and a tight shut-off up to the 10 bar maximum working pressure. A removable top cover secured by stainless steel bolts allows in-line inspection and seat maintenance without removing the valve from the pipeline.

Compatibilitate
The DIN 2501 flanges are fully interchangeable with PN10 and PN16 flanged pipework and fittings in DN50. The four-bolt flange pattern at 125 mm PCD accepts standard M16 flange bolts. The valve is compatible with cold and hot water systems, irrigation mains, pool plant circulation lines, and light industrial pipework conveying fluids compatible with NBR seals and ductile iron, within the stated pressure and temperature limits.

În detaliu
- GGG40 ductile iron body withstands surge pressures better than grey cast iron equivalents
- Blue epoxy coating protects against internal and external corrosion for long service life
- Removable top cover enables in-line inspection and seal replacement without pipe disconnection
- Dual PN10/16 flange rating gives installation flexibility across a wide range of system pressures
- Brass drain plug at body base allows easy system drainage and commissioning
- Single-direction flow only — correct installation orientation must be observed
- NBR seals limit media compatibility; not suitable for oils, hydrocarbons, or ozone-rich water without seal upgrade
- Flanged assembly requires gaskets and bolts (not supplied); adds installation time compared to wafer-style check valves
