LX Pump Co.

LX Pump Co. makes hot tub heaters and spa pumps, including the H30-R1 3 kW heater and the LP150 1.5 HP single-speed pump for massage jets. At PoolParthub.com you will find the H30-R1 heater with or without control cable, plus spa pumps for massage jets, so your hot tub keeps running. The right part lets you repair instead of replace.

LX Pump Co. hot tub heaters and spa pumps

Hot tubs and spas rely on two components more than any others: a flow-through heater that warms the water as it circulates, and a pump with enough output to drive the massage jets. Here you will find LX Pump Co. parts covering both of those jobs — the H30-R1 3 kW heater in its standard version, supplied either with or without a control cable, and the LP150 1.5 HP single-speed pump intended for jet duty. All three are replacement items, which means they are chosen on the basis of what is already installed rather than from a catalogue of features.

The current listings are deliberately narrow and focus on the parts that fail first on a portable spa or a built-in hot tub. A heater takes the hardest life of any wet component: it sits in the flow path, it is switched on and off constantly, and it is the first part to suffer when water chemistry drifts or when flow drops because of a blocked filter. A jet pump, by contrast, usually fails mechanically — a worn seal, a noisy bearing or an impeller that has lost performance after years of running.

  • Flow-through heaters — H30-R1 3 kW, standard version, in two build variants.
  • Jet pumps — LP150, 1.5 HP, single-speed, for driving massage jets.
  • Variants by cabling — the same heater offered with a control cable fitted and without one.

The H30-R1 heater: with or without control cable

The only difference between PPS-10017 and PPS-10018 is the cable. The version with a control cable arrives ready to connect to the spa controller; the version without is for installations where the existing cable and connector are sound and will be reused, or where the loom is supplied separately. Before ordering, look at how the old heater is wired: if the control lead is moulded into the heater body and cannot be detached, the cabled version is the one to take. If the lead unplugs at the heater end and the plug is undamaged, the version without a cable keeps the job simpler and avoids routing a second wire through the cabinet.

Beyond the cable, check the physical fit. Note the overall length of the heater tube, the diameter and type of the connections at each end, and which side the sensor and element terminals face once the unit is in position. A heater that is electrically correct but a few centimetres too long will not sit in the existing pipework without rework.

LP150 jet pump for massage circuits

The LP150 is a single-speed 1.5 HP unit, the type normally used to feed the massage jets rather than to run continuous filtration. Single-speed means it has one output: it is either off or at full flow, so it is switched on only when the jets are in use. When replacing a jet pump, record the horsepower, the suction and discharge orientation, the union or connection size, and the mounting footprint and bolt spacing on the base. Those four details decide whether a pump drops straight into the cabinet.

  • Noise and vibration — often a bearing, and a sign the motor end is nearing the end of its life.
  • Water at the motor shaft — a failed mechanical seal; left alone it will reach the bearings.
  • Weak jets — check the filter and suction fittings for restriction before blaming the pump.
  • Repeated tripping — have the electrical side checked rather than simply refitting.

Identifying the right part before you order

Spa components are rarely marked clearly once they have been in service, so work from measurements and from the old part itself. Photograph the wiring before disconnecting anything, keep the old seals and O-rings so the new ones can be compared side by side, and measure rather than estimate: a seal that looks the same size can be a millimetre out and will leak. Where an exploded diagram is available for your spa pack, the position numbers on it are the quickest way to confirm which item you are replacing. Any work on a heater involves both water and mains electricity, so the final connection belongs with a qualified electrician.

Stocked here are the H30-R1 3 kW heater in both its cabled and non-cabled forms and the LP150 1.5 HP single-speed jet pump — the parts most often asked for when a hot tub stops heating or the jets lose their punch. Each listing is kept distinct so that the cabled and non-cabled heaters are never confused at the point of ordering.

The aim is a short, clear range rather than a long one: the components that genuinely wear out, described by their actual model designations, so the part that arrives is the part that was already fitted. If you are unsure which heater variant suits your installation, compare the cable arrangement on the unit you are removing before placing the order.
