The HF 40 is a heavy-duty shell-and-tube pool heat exchanger rated for a secondary (pool-side) flow of 300 litres per minute and a primary (heating-circuit) flow of 60 litres per minute, with primary system pressures up to 30 bar. At 455 mm long and built entirely from grade 316 stainless steel, it is sized for large commercial or high-demand residential pools connected to a boiler, district-heating loop, or solar thermal primary circuit.

Heat transfer & hydraulic ratings

The primary circuit handles up to 30 bar of working pressure — well above the requirements of most high-temperature boiler installations — while the secondary pool-water circuit operates at up to 8 bar with a generous 1½” connection on the pool side. The high secondary flow capacity of 300 l/min means the exchanger can circulate a large pool volume rapidly, keeping approach-temperature losses to a minimum and maximising thermal efficiency from your heat source.

Materiał & odporność na korozję

The entire unit is fabricated from AISI 316 stainless steel, offering stronger chloride and pitting resistance than standard 304-grade alloys. This makes it a reliable choice for treated freshwater pool systems; however, for salt-water or heavily chlorinated pools where chloride concentrations are elevated, a titanium exchanger should be considered to guard against long-term pitting. The male-thread-to-female-thread connection arrangement simplifies integration into existing pipework without additional adapters.

Instalacja & integracja systemu

With an overall length of 455 mm and a footprint width of 129 mm, the HF 40 can be mounted horizontally or vertically in a plant room alongside a boiler or heat pump. The 1½” secondary port connects directly to standard pool-circuit pipework, and the unit should be mounted using brackets to isolate it from vibration. Dosing equipment and chlorinators must be installed downstream of the exchanger on the pool-return side to protect the stainless steel internals.
