DS78TBR Messing watermeter DN20 1" buitendraad 16 bar KIWA MNK-N Puls
DS78TBR Brass Horizontal Water Meter DN20 with Pulse Output — KIWA MNK-N Certified
The DS78TBR is a single-jet, dry-dial brass water meter designed for horizontal installation in cold-water supply lines up to 50 °C. Rated at DN20 with 3/4-inch male threaded connections and a nominal flow rate of 2.5 m³/h, it suits residential irrigation systems, greenhouse water management, pool make-up water lines, and light commercial metering applications. The pulse output option (10 litres per pulse) allows direct integration with data loggers, building management systems, or irrigation controllers for automated consumption tracking.
Built to MNK-N metrological class and carrying KIWA certification, this meter meets Dutch and European drinking-water approval requirements. The IP54-rated dry register protects the totaliser dial from condensation and dust, while the lockable, hinged cover keeps the dial tamper-evident and readable without removing the unit. The body and internals are manufactured in lead-reduced brass, providing long service life in potable water networks at pressures up to 16 bar. A cast-in flow-direction arrow on the body ensures correct orientation during installation.

Compatibiliteit
This meter is suitable for cold and slightly warm potable water networks up to 50 °C and 16 bar. The 3/4-inch male threaded ports connect directly to standard 3/4-inch female threaded fittings, union nuts, or isolation ball valves. The pulse output is compatible with most reed-contact data loggers, pulse-counting irrigation controllers, and BMS inputs designed for volt-free or dry-contact 10 L/pulse signals. It is approved for use in the Netherlands under KIWA MNK-N certification and complies with European metrological directive MID (CE marked). Not suitable for vertical installation or for measuring hot water above 50 °C.

In detail
- KIWA MNK-N certified for potable water — accepted by Dutch utilities and inspectors without additional approvals
- Built-in pulse output (10 L/pulse) enables direct connection to data loggers and irrigation controllers
- IP54 dry register prevents condensation fogging the dial, reducing on-site service calls
- Rated to 16 bar, giving substantial pressure headroom on mains-fed pool and irrigation systems
- Standard 3/4-inch male threads on both ports for straightforward installation with off-the-shelf unions
- Horizontal installation only — cannot be mounted vertically without voiding metrological certification
- Single-direction flow measurement; reverse flow is not registered and may damage the mechanism
- Pulse output is a passive reed contact requiring a powered logger or controller input — no onboard display of pulse count
