This compressor blow-out kit is purpose-built for winterising drip and sprinkler irrigation systems. The assembly combines a 1/2″ nickel-plated brass ball valve with a red lever handle, a male quick-connect push-in air fitting on the compressor side, and a 90° elbow adapter terminating in a 1″ male BSP thread for direct connection to the irrigation mainline. The single-lever shut-off lets the installer pressurise the line with compressed air and then close the valve immediately once the system is purged — no additional fittings required on site.
The 90° elbow keeps the assembly compact and routes the compressor hose away from the pipe run, reducing stress on the connection point. The brass quick-connect plug is compatible with standard European-pattern (NW 7.2 / DN 7.2) air couplings, so it pairs directly with the blow-out hose of any typical workshop or contractor compressor. The nickel-plated brass ball valve body resists corrosion from residual fertiliser solutions commonly present in greenhouse and garden irrigation lines.
