VDL PVC-U Ball Valve DN10 – 16 mm Glue Socket, 16 bar, Type EIL
This VDL type EIL ball valve is machined from grey PVC-U (unplasticised polyvinyl chloride) and designed for full-bore shutoff in potable water, pool circulation, irrigation, and light chemical-handling systems. The 16 mm solvent-cement glue socket ends bond directly to standard PVC-U pipe, creating a leakproof, corrosion-free joint that outlasts metal alternatives in humid or chlorinated environments. An EPDM seat and seals ensure reliable shutoff across the full 0 °C to 60 °C service range.
The single-union body design — clearly visible in the technical cross-section — allows the downstream half to be removed for inline servicing or replacement without cutting the pipeline. The oversized orange PVC-U lever provides a positive 90° open/close indication and is easy to operate even with wet or gloved hands. At a rated working pressure of 16 bar, this valve comfortably handles high-head pool pump circuits and pressurised irrigation mains where DN10 pipework is specified.

Compatibilidade
Suitable for solvent-cement jointing to 16 mm outside-diameter PVC-U pressure pipe conforming to EN ISO 1452 / DIN 8061-8062. Compatible with standard PVC solvent cement and primer. Intended for cold and warm water systems up to 60 °C, pool and spa pipework, drip and spray irrigation headers, and greenhouse nutrient-dosing circuits where DN10 (16 mm) PVC-U pipe is used. Not suitable for hot water above 60 °C, steam, or concentrated aromatic solvents.
