The HI7014 is a pocket-sized digital colorimeter designed to measure free chlorine in swimming pools, hot tubs, and spas with laboratory-grade accuracy. It bridges the gap between basic chemical test kits and professional instrumentation, delivering precise, direct numerical readings on a large LCD — no colour-matching guesswork involved. The unit ships complete with two capped cuvettes, reagent sachets for 6 tests, a battery, and a quick-start guide.

How it works

To take a reading, fill a cuvette with your water sample and zero the meter, then add a DPD reagent (powder or liquid) that reacts with free chlorine to produce a pink tint. Place the cuvette into the Checker, press the single button, and the result appears in seconds as a direct ppm value. The 525 nm LED light source and silicon photocell detector measure absorbance precisely, eliminating the subjectivity of the human eye. The method is an adaptation of USEPA 330.5 and Standard Method 4500-Cl G, and the instrument complies with UNE-ISO 17381:2012.
