Hanna Instruments Free Chlorine DPD Liquid Reagent 0.00–5.00 mg/L (300 Tests) (HI93701-F)
Hanna Instruments Free Chlorine DPD Liquid Reagent 0.00–5.00 mg/L (300 Tests)
The HI93701-F is a professional-grade liquid reagent kit for the colorimetric determination of free chlorine in pool and drinking water. Supplied as two dropper bottles (DPD1 Indicator and DPD1 Buffer), each kit contains enough reagent for 300 individual tests across a measurement range of 0.00 to 5.00 mg/L of free chlorine (Cl2). Results are displayed in mg/L (ppm) and are produced using the well-established DPD method, in which free chlorine reacts with the reagent to produce a characteristic pink tint in the sample.
Compatibility
For Hanna photometers and Checker mini-photometers that measure free chlorine, such as the HI97710, HI971044 and HI97101 portable photometers and the HI7014 Pool Line Checker. A 100-test version is available as HS93701-F1. Always verify compatibility with your specific meter model before ordering. Do not measure directly from the dropper bottle — always dispense into a clean sample cuvette or cup before testing.
Test method
The HI93701-F follows an adaptation of USEPA Method 330.5 and Standard Method 4500-Cl G. Each bottle is clearly labelled with the lot number and expiry date for full traceability.
Storage & shelf life
Store in a cool, dry environment away from direct sunlight. Once opened, the reagent bottles should be used within a maximum of 3 months, provided they are kept under optimal temperature and humidity conditions. A powder reagent alternative is also available for applications where liquid format is not preferred.
