AstralPool – Union Fitting 50 mm for Alaska Basic Pump

This genuine AstralPool 50 mm union fitting is the official hydraulic connection component for the Alaska Basic pump (parent SKU 69386). Listed as position 6 in the Fluidra exploded view, it connects the pump’s inlet or outlet port to standard 50 mm pressure PVC pipework, creating a watertight, releasable joint that makes pump servicing straightforward without cutting or damaging existing pipework.

Kompatybilność

Designed and supplied specifically for the AstralPool Alaska Basic pump range (69383–69387). The Alaska Basic pump features a 50 mm (D) port diameter, so always verify your pump model and port size before ordering. This fitting is not interchangeable with 40 mm variants and is intended as a like-for-like OEM replacement only.

Dlaczego oryginalność ma znaczenie

An OEM AstralPool union fitting is precision-moulded to match the exact thread pitch, face geometry, and sealing surface of the Alaska Basic pump body. Off-brand substitutes risk cross-threading, leaks at the union face, or premature failure under the operating pressures of a pool circulation system. Fitting a genuine part protects both your pump warranty and your plumbing investment.

Instalacja

The tail piece glues directly onto 50 mm pressure PVC pipe using solvent cement; the locking nut then threads onto the pump port to compress the seal face and form a leak-free joint. The union design means the pump can be isolated and removed simply by unscrewing the locking nut — no pipe cutting required. Ensure the mating O-ring (sold separately) is in good condition whenever refitting.
