The S92SM-1 is the genuine Davey replacement service motor for the Silensor SLL400 and SLL400E pool pumps. Featuring a splined shaft groove design, this is the new-generation (post-2017, “-1” series) motor assembly, supplied complete with all internal motor components ready for a like-for-like swap. It is the correct service part when the original motor suffers bearing failure, winding damage, or other internal faults that prevent reliable pump operation.

Compatibility

This service motor fits the Davey Silensor SLL400 and SLL400E single-phase pool pumps (new-generation “-1” suffix models). It is not intended for earlier “-0” suffix pumps without also upgrading the impeller to the new-style flat-faced version, as specified in Davey’s official servicing notes. Always verify your pump’s model suffix on the data label before ordering.

The service motor assembly includes all core internal motor components (items 1–14, 16, 21, 22, 23 & 31 per the official spares diagram), giving technicians everything needed in a single part number. Using a genuine Davey motor preserves the pump’s IP56 enclosure rating, Class F insulation integrity, and factory noise performance.

Installation

Motor replacement requires Davey Silensor service spanners (13810SP and 13810-1SP) to safely remove the case nuts. All electrical connections must be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with local wiring regulations. If the unit being serviced is an older “-0” generation SLL400, the impeller must be upgraded to the new flat-faced style at the same time to ensure correct shaft engagement and sealing.
