SpaNet

SpaNet makes control systems, heaters, heat pumps and electronic components for hot tubs and spas. At PoolParthub.com you will find SV Series control boxes, PCB boards, topside control panels, spa heaters, heater gaskets, sensors, transformers and WiFi modules. The right part lets you repair instead of replace.

SpaNet spa control systems, heaters and spare parts

SpaNet builds the electronics that sit behind the panel of a great many portable spas and hot tubs: the control box that switches the pumps, blower and lights, the in-line heater that brings the water up to temperature, the sensors that tell the board what is happening in the plumbing, and the topside keypad the bather actually touches. Here you will find control systems from the SV and SV Mini families together with the heaters, circuit boards, gaskets, sensors, transformers and panels that keep an existing installation running.

Because these parts are system-specific rather than universal, the model code printed on the control box or moulded into the old component is the thing to work from. Matching that code is far more reliable than matching appearance, as several generations share the same housing while using different internals.

Which SV system do you have?

SpaNet controllers are grouped into families, and parts rarely cross between them. The label on the side of the control box, or the sticker inside the equipment bay, gives the family and the version.

  • SV Mini – compact controllers for smaller spas and swim-spa auxiliary circuits, covering SV Mini 1 and SV Mini 2 (SVM-2) with their own 3 kW heater, the SVM-RH30.
  • SV2, SV3 en SV4 – the full-size controllers, with SV3-VH supplied here as a complete system including a 5.25 kW variable heater.
  • Version 1 and Version 2 – later SV hardware is marked V2, and several items, including the SV3-12PCB-V2 brain board and the SV3-240PCB-V2 power board, are version-specific. Fitting a V2 board to V1 hardware, or the reverse, is not a straight swap.

If the label has faded, photograph the board inside the box before ordering; the part numbers are usually silk-screened onto the PCB itself.

Heaters, sensors and the parts that wear

In-line spa heaters fail for predictable reasons: scale on the element where the water is hard, dry firing after an airlock, or corrosion where stray current finds its way into the plumbing. The SV (V2) 5.25 kW heater (SV-V2-HTR-55) serves SV3 and SV4 systems, while the SV Mini 3 kW unit (SVM-RH30) suits SV Mini 1 and 2. Whenever a heater tube is opened or replaced, the sealing gasket should be renewed at the same time — the SV-HTR-OR fits SV2, SV3 and SV4 heaters and is a cheap part to have on hand before the spa is drained.

Temperature and flow sensing is equally important. The heater temperature and flow sensor assembly (SV-HTR-SA-V2) covers SV V1 and V2 systems and is a common cause of nuisance trips, false overheat messages or a heater that simply refuses to call for power. Low-voltage supply faults show up the same way, which is why the 230V–12V transformer with its 6-pin plug (SV-12V-TR) is worth checking when a panel goes dark or resets at random.

Panels, boards and connectivity

Topside controls take the worst of the weather and the chemicals. The SV-3T keypad (SV3T-RJ) connects by RJ-style lead and suits SV3 installations, while the rectangular SV-MT-2R panel is matched to SV Mini 2. Before ordering a replacement, check the cut-out shape in the shell and the plug on the end of the existing cable, as the two families use different panels.

Inside the box, SpaNet splits the electronics between a low-voltage control board and a high-current power board. The SV3-12PCB-V2 brain PCB handles the logic and the SV3-240PCB-V2 power PCB switches the loads, so the symptom usually points to one or the other: no display or lost settings suggests the brain, while a pump or heater that will not energise despite a healthy panel points at the power side. The SV SmartLink WiFi module (SV-WIFI) adds app control and remote temperature management to compatible SV Series systems.

Air and water heating beyond the element

Not every heating job is done by the in-line element. The SV-Series 5.5 kW reversible heat pump (SN-HP-55P) heats and cools, making it an option for owners who run their spa year-round or who want to bring water temperature down during a hot summer. Siting matters more than with an electric element: a heat pump needs clear airflow around the fan and a sensible run of pipework to and from the spa.

Here we stock complete SV and SV Mini control systems alongside the service parts that keep older installations going — heaters, heater gaskets, flow and temperature sensor assemblies, brain and power PCBs, transformers, topside keypads, the SmartLink WiFi module and a reversible heat pump.

The aim is simple: when one component fails, you should be able to replace that component rather than the whole control pack. Work from the model code on your existing part, note whether your system is V1 or V2, and choose the matching item from the list above.
