AstralPool – Pre-filter Cover O-ring for Alaska Basic Pump

This is the genuine AstralPool replacement O-ring (position 3 in the official Fluidra exploded view) that seals the pre-filter cover on the Alaska Basic Pump. It sits between the transparent cover and the pump body, maintaining an airtight seal essential for proper priming and efficient water flow. Replacing a worn or deformed O-ring is one of the quickest fixes for a pump that struggles to prime or loses suction.

Compatibilité

This O-ring is designed specifically for the AstralPool Alaska Basic Pump range (parent SKU 69386, covering models 69383–69387). Always verify your pump model number on the motor label before ordering to ensure a perfect fit.

Pourquoi l'authenticité est importante

Genuine AstralPool O-rings are manufactured to precise tolerances for the Alaska Basic Pump’s pre-filter cover thread and seating surface. Aftermarket seals can differ subtly in diameter or hardness, leading to micro-leaks, repeated loss of prime, and premature failure. A genuine part guarantees the correct compression and chemical resistance needed for continuous pool water contact.

Installation

Replacement is straightforward: switch off the pump, depressurise the system, unscrew the pre-filter cover, remove and discard the old O-ring, clean the seating groove, and press the new O-ring evenly into place before refitting the cover. No special tools are required, though a small amount of silicone grease on the O-ring will extend its service life and ease future removal.
