This is a single-use conductivity calibration standard with a nominal value of 12880 µS/cm, supplied as 25 sealed sachets of 20 ml. It belongs to the Hanna Instruments Pool Line range of solutions used to calibrate EC/TDS meters and conductivity probes on commercial pool water-treatment installations. Each sachet holds enough fluid for one clean calibration point, so the standard is never contaminated by repeated dipping.

What it fits

Use this standard with any conductivity or TDS meter that accepts a 12880 µS/cm calibration point, including Hanna Instruments Pool Line testers and portable EC meters. It suits both single-point and multi-point calibration routines where 12880 µS/cm is the high-range point. The solution is a general-purpose EC standard, so it is not limited to one specific meter model.

How to use

Rinse the conductivity probe with deionised water and shake off the excess before calibrating. Open one sachet, pour the contents into a clean cup or use the sachet directly, immerse the sensor so the electrode rings are fully covered, and follow the calibration prompt on the meter. Discard the used solution after the reading; do not pour it back into a stock container.

Service life

Unopened sachets keep their stated value until the expiry date printed on the foil, provided they are stored cool and out of direct sunlight. Once a sachet is opened it should be used immediately and then discarded, as exposure to air and probe residues shifts the conductivity value. Calibrate at least as often as your pool water-quality procedure requires, and always after cleaning or replacing a probe.

Supplied as one box of 25 sachets, each containing 20 ml; sachets are not sold individually. This is the 12880 µS/cm value only, so order a separate low-range standard if your meter requires a second calibration point. Check the value printed on the sachet against the point requested by your meter before calibrating.
