Hanna Instruments pH 7.01 calibration buffer solution, 500 ml bottle (HI7007L)

HI7007L is a ready-to-use pH 7.01 calibration buffer solution supplied in a 500 ml bottle. It is used to calibrate the pH electrodes and controllers in the Hanna Instruments measurement and dosing range, including handheld meters and panel-mounted pool controllers. A neutral-point buffer such as this is the starting point of every standard two-point pH calibration.

What it fits

The solution works with any pH electrode or meter that accepts a standard buffer, including Hanna Instruments handheld testers, BL series controllers and panel-mounted pool pH/ORP systems. It is a general-purpose pH 7.01 buffer and is not tied to one specific instrument model. Use it together with a second buffer, typically pH 4.01 or pH 10.01, for a full two-point calibration.

How to use

Rinse the electrode with clean water, then pour a small amount of buffer into a clean beaker rather than dipping the probe into the bottle. Immerse the probe tip, allow the reading to stabilise and confirm the calibration point on the meter or controller. Discard the used portion after calibration to avoid contaminating the remaining stock.

Shelf life

Keep the bottle tightly closed and stored at room temperature away from direct sunlight. An unopened bottle has a long shelf life, but once opened the buffer should be used within a few months as absorbed carbon dioxide and airborne contamination gradually shift the pH value. Replace the bottle if the liquid becomes cloudy, discoloured or shows visible growth.

Ordering notes

Supplied as a single 500 ml bottle; other buffer values and electrode storage or cleaning solutions are ordered separately. For routine pool service, calibrate at least monthly and stock both a 7.01 and a second buffer value. Larger sites often keep spare bottles on hand so calibration is never delayed.
