Each single-use packet is added directly to a water sample, triggering a pink colour reaction whose intensity is read by a compatible Hanna photometer to display the precise free chlorine concentration in mg/L. Method & accuracy

The HI93701-01 follows the DPD colorimetric method — an adaptation of USEPA Method 330.5 and Standard Method 4500-Cl G. The reaction between free chlorine and the reagent produces a pink tint in the sample; a compatible photometer then measures colour intensity and outputs the result in mg/L (ppm). Pre-measured packets eliminate manual weighing and reduce the risk of dosing errors, delivering fast and reproducible results.
