Norsup - Unità di disinfezione UV-C Supernova Timer 80 W 50/63 mm - 7038702

Norsup – UV-C Disinfection Unit Supernova Timer 80W 50/63mm

Rated at a UV dose of 16 30mJ/cm² with a peak flow capacity of 16 m³/h, the Norsup Supernova Timer 80W is sized for private pools up to 65 m³ — covering the vast majority of residential in-ground installations. It connects inline via 50/63 mm glue socket/glue spigot and 1½” female thread, making it compatible with the pipe dimensions most commonly found in European pool plant rooms. An 80 W Amalgam lamp delivers a consistently high and stable UV-C output that would outperform a traditional low-pressure lamp of equivalent wattage.

Amalgam lamp & UV-C output

Norsup specifies an Amalgam lamp rather than a conventional UV-C tube specifically to achieve a higher and more stable UV output across varying water temperatures. The germicidal UV-C light inactivates bacteria, viruses, algae, and chlorine-resistant pathogens as water passes through the reactor chamber, without introducing chemical by-products into the pool. Used alongside a residual sanitiser such as chlorine or salt electrolysis, the unit can significantly reduce the quantity of chemicals required to maintain water quality.

Timer display & lamp-life management

The defining feature of the Supernova Timer variant over the base Supernova model is its integrated LED display, which shows the current operational status of the Amalgam lamp. A built-in timer function tracks accumulated lamp hours so that installers and pool owners always know precisely when a lamp replacement is due — removing any guesswork from routine maintenance and ensuring the unit never operates at reduced disinfection efficacy without warning.

Compatibilità e installazione della piscina

The duplex housing design makes the Supernova Timer suitable for chlorine-based, salt-water, and bio pools alike. It is installed on the return side of the filtration circuit, after the filter and before any chemical dosing points, in line with standard UV installation practice. The 50/63 mm glue socket and 1½” female thread connections allow straightforward solvent-weld integration into existing pipework without the need for special adapters in most European pool installations, and the 2 bar maximum working pressure comfortably covers typical residential circulation systems.
