The HI3214T is a redox (ORP) electrode with a plastic body and a platinum sensing element, terminated in a BNC connector on a 1 metre cable. It uses the standard PG13.5 process thread, so it mounts directly into inline flow cells, panel-mounted holders and immersion fittings used in commercial pool water treatment. It belongs to the Hanna Instruments range of process electrodes for ORP controllers and dosing systems.

The BNC connector matches Hanna controllers, transmitters and portable meters that use a standard BNC ORP input, and the 1 metre integrated cable suits panel or wall installations close to the measuring point. The PG13.5 thread is the industry standard for flow cells, in-line tees and immersion holders, so the probe can replace most existing PG13.5 redox electrodes. Always confirm the input type and cable run length of your controller before ordering.

Poziția de instalare

Screw the electrode into the PG13.5 port of a flow cell or immersion assembly fitted on the sample line after the filter and before the injection points. Mount it vertically or at no more than a 45 degree tilt from vertical so the internal reference electrolyte stays in contact with the junction. Keep a steady, bubble-free sample flow across the platinum tip and avoid running the cable alongside pump or heater power lines to limit electrical noise.

Durata de viață

ORP electrodes are consumables: response slows as the platinum surface becomes coated and the reference junction ages. In continuously dosed pool water, expect roughly 12 to 24 months of service depending on chemical load, temperature and cleaning routine. Replace the electrode when readings drift, respond sluggishly to a fresh ORP test solution, or can no longer be brought back with standard cleaning.

Supplied as a single electrode with fixed 1 metre cable and BNC plug; flow cells, holders, extension cables and ORP test solutions are ordered separately. The plastic body version is intended for standard pool and process water, not for high-temperature or aggressive solvent applications.
