Isolate the pump electrically and close the suction and return valves before starting. Remove the stainless-steel locking clamp, lift off the motor block, and unscrew the impeller lock screw (Pentair part R39009900, sold separately) whilst holding the shaft stationary. Fit the new impeller, torque the lock screw finger-tight plus a quarter-turn, and inspect the mechanical seal before reassembly. Total job time is approximately 20 minutes with basic hand tools.
