Rated at 1.5HP and carrying an energy label A classification, the Norsup Evo Pro with Modbus is a variable speed pool pump designed to deliver efficient, quiet filtration at 230VAC. Its permanent-magnet motor eliminates shaft friction, allowing it to run far more quietly and economically than a conventional single-speed induction pump. The 2″ inlet and 1½” female thread outlet make it compatible with a wide range of standard European pool plumbing configurations.

Motor & energy performance

The variable speed drive allows the pump to operate at the lowest speed necessary to maintain adequate water turnover at any given time, which can significantly reduce electricity consumption compared with a fixed-speed equivalent. Running continuously at a reduced speed is both quieter and, in most installations, more cost-effective than shorter bursts at full power. The integrated Modbus interface allows the pump to communicate directly with building management systems or pool controllers such as the NorsupOne, enabling seamless automation without the need for additional relay modules.

Programming & control

Up to five independent speed programmes can be scheduled across the day via the on-board controller, covering standard filtration, a dedicated skimmer burst mode to clear surface debris, and an adjustable priming routine to purge air on start-up. When paired with the NorsupOne automation platform, an unrestricted number of timer slots and trigger conditions can be configured through the controller or app. An external control cable input also allows integration with third-party pool management systems.

Wetted materials & installation

The hydraulic chamber uses a Noryl impeller — a glass-fibre reinforced engineering polymer well regarded for its dimensional stability and resistance to pool chemicals — while the shaft seal is NBR rubber, suitable for water temperatures up to 40 °C. The white and black housing is designed to sit neatly in an equipment room or outdoor plant area, and at 12.7 kg the unit is manageable for a two-person installation team. Female BSP thread connections on both ports allow direct push-fit or union adaptation to existing pipework.
