Davey – Silensor / SilensorPro Mylar Washer – Pack of 10

This is the genuine Davey Mylar washer (part no. 13846-10) for the Silensor and SilensorPro pool pump ranges, supplied in a convenient pack of ten. The washer seats beneath the mechanical seal on the impeller and is a critical component in maintaining a proper seal between the wet and dry ends of the pump. It is replaced whenever the mechanical seal or impeller is serviced.

Compatibility

This washer fits the full Davey Silensor range, including SLS and SLL series pumps, as well as the SilensorPro variable speed models. It is also the mandatory replacement part for any Silensor pump originally built with a balance drum (serial numbers up to 07078-8046): during servicing, the balance drum must be removed and this Mylar washer arrangement fitted in its place as directed by Davey service bulletin SP61/1550/1207.

Why genuine matters

Using a genuine Davey washer ensures the correct material grade, thickness, and dimensional tolerances required for the Silensor’s water-cooled motor design. An ill-fitting or incorrect washer can compromise the mechanical seal, leading to water ingress, seal failure, and costly motor damage. Buying a pack of ten means you always have spares on hand for future service visits.

Installation

The Mylar washer is installed during mechanical seal replacement: remove the impeller, discard the old washer, position the new Mylar washer beneath the mechanical seal on the impeller, and refit. Always refer to the official Davey Silensor Servicing Instructions and ensure Davey service tools 13810SP and 13810-1SP are available for case-nut removal. This work should be carried out by a qualified technician.
