Davey — Lid O-Ring for Silensor SLS Pool Pumps
Genuine Davey lid O-ring for the Silensor SLS series pool pumps. This is the seal that sits under the transparent pre-filter lid, keeping the strainer housing water-tight so the pump can prime and hold vacuum. If your pump is losing prime, drawing air, or leaking a fine spray around the lid rim, this O-ring is almost always the cause.

Not compatible with SLL-variant Silensor pumps — those use a larger O-ring on the wider pre-filter housing (different part).
Replacement tips
- Depressurise the system first — turn the pump off, close any suction / discharge valves, and open the manual air-bleed on the filter.
- Clean the O-ring seat with a soft cloth before fitting the new seal — grit is the number-one reason new O-rings still leak.
- Apply a thin smear of silicone pool-lube (never petroleum grease — it swells the rubber over time).
- Inspect the seal annually; replace every 2–3 seasons or the moment you spot flat spots, cracks, or a permanent groove.
