At 11 kW (15 HP) and a maximum flow rate of 36 m³/h, the Foras KB 1500 T is the top of the KB family — a high-output, twin-impeller monoblock centrifugal pump built for demanding pressurisation duties in commercial pools, large irrigation networks, and industrial water circuits. It connects via 2″ female-thread suction and 1¼” female-thread pressure ports, making it compatible with standard BS/ISO threaded pipework across European installations.

Two counter-posed impellers in Noryl — a glass-fibre-reinforced engineering polymer with strong chemical and heat resistance — deliver the high head and sustained flow that a single-stage pump of equivalent power cannot match. The opposed layout also balances axial thrust, reducing wear on the mechanical seal and bearings under continuous-duty operation, which makes the KB 1500 T particularly well suited to recirculation systems that run extended daily cycles.

Motore, protezione & cablaggio

The three-phase motor (230/400 V, 50 Hz) is enclosed and externally ventilated, carrying an IP55 ingress-protection rating that permits installation in pump houses subject to occasional water spray or hosing down. Class F winding insulation and integrated thermal overload protection guard the motor against overheating, while the type H mechanical seal provides a reliable dynamic face seal between the pump body and motor shaft. The pump is supplied without cable and should be connected by a qualified electrician.

Requisiti di costruzione & installazione

The pump body and motor bracket are cast in grey cast iron for rigidity and vibration damping, while the shaft runs in stainless steel for corrosion resistance. With an overall length of 645 mm and a height of 330 mm, the KB 1500 T requires a solid, level plinth and adequate clearance for maintenance access. It is not self-priming and must be installed in a flooded-suction arrangement or with a foot valve and filled suction line; installation should be indoors or in a fully weatherproof enclosure.
