Profec – 2-piece ball valve stainless steel 316 1″ female thread 64 bar

Rated to a robust 64 bar and spanning a working temperature range of −10 °C to +150 °C, this Profec 2-piece ball valve is built for demanding pool plant rooms, saltwater systems, and hydraulic pipework where brass or plastic fittings are not suitable. The 1″ female-threaded ends on both sides (ØDi 25 mm bore) allow a straightforward threaded connection into existing pipework without adapters. Stainless steel 316 construction throughout delivers the superior chloride and corrosion resistance that pool and spa environments require.

Body construction & corrosion resistance

The valve body and lever handle are machined from grade 316 stainless steel, the molybdenum-bearing alloy that resists pitting and crevice corrosion in saline and chemically dosed water far better than 304-grade alternatives. The 2-piece design allows the internals to be accessed for service without removing the valve from the line, while the full-bore ball keeps flow restriction to a minimum across the 1″ port.

Sealing & operational range

A PTFE seat provides a tight, chemically inert seal that remains dimensionally stable across the full −10 °C to +150 °C temperature envelope — well suited to heated pool circuits and solar thermal feeds alike. A quarter-turn of the blue stainless steel lever is all that is needed to move between fully open and fully closed, and the compact overall length of 64.5 mm (Ct-1) keeps the valve easy to fit in tight manifold arrangements.

Sizing & installation

With a face-to-face thread engagement depth of 16.5 mm on each end (F-1/F-2) and a total lever swing radius of 125 mm, the valve integrates neatly into standard 1″ threaded pool pipework alongside pumps, filters, and heat-pump headers. The 75.2 mm body length (Lb) and 25 mm port diameter are consistent with common 1″ pipe schedules, making it a direct fit for most European pool plant installations.
