Rated to a substantial 64 bar and operable across a temperature range of -10 °C to 150 °C, this compact 1/4″ Profec ball valve is engineered for demanding pool plant and chemical dosing lines where a standard brass valve simply would not suffice. The marine-grade 316 stainless steel body and stainless steel lever handle deliver excellent resistance to chloride-rich and chemically aggressive environments, making it a reliable isolation point on dosing pump outlets, pressure test ports, and ancillary pipework.

Constructed entirely from grade 316 stainless steel — a grade whose elevated molybdenum content gives it superior resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion compared with 304 — the valve pairs naturally with the PTFE seat and seal. PTFE is chemically inert to virtually all pool chemicals, including chlorine solutions, acids, and pH-correction agents, so the sealing surfaces remain unaffected by routine dosing chemistry across the full stated temperature envelope.

Quarter-turn operation & lever design

A simple 90° rotation of the blue-coded stainless steel lever moves the valve between fully open and fully closed, providing an immediate visual indication of service state with no risk of over-tightening. At just 49 mm body length (Lb) and 47 mm centre-to-thread face (Ct-1), the valve fits neatly into tight plant-room manifolds and dosing skids, threading directly onto 1/4″ female BSP ports without adapters.

Two-piece construction & serviceability

The two-piece body design allows the valve to be disassembled for seat inspection or PTFE replacement without removing the entire assembly from the pipework, reducing maintenance downtime. This is a meaningful advantage on permanently installed chemical dosing rigs where access is limited and keeping the system offline carries a cost.
