This is a replacement rubber sealing O-ring used on Hanna Instruments HI1036-180x series process probes. It sits between the probe body and the flow cell or process fitting to keep the connection watertight under line pressure. The O-ring is a consumable part of the probe installation and belongs to the Hanna process measurement and dosing accessory range used in commercial pool water treatment.

It is the standard sealing ring supplied with these probe bodies, so it replaces the original part like for like. Check the O-ring reference O-RING22.2 against the one you remove before ordering, as process probes of different diameters use different seal sizes.

The O-ring seats in the groove on the probe body or in the mating thread of the flow cell, in-line tee or immersion fitting. Depressurise and drain the line, remove the probe, fit the new ring dry or with a little silicone-compatible lubricant, then hand-tighten the probe back into the fitting. Refill the loop slowly and check for leaks around the fitting before returning the system to automatic operation.

Rubber seals harden and take a compression set over time, especially in chlorinated or warm pool water. Replace the O-ring every time the probe is removed for cleaning, calibration or exchange, rather than reusing the old one. Any visible flattening, cracking, swelling or weeping at the fitting means the seal has reached the end of its life.
