AstralPool – Pre-filter Cover Nut for Alaska Basic Pump

This is the genuine AstralPool replacement pre-filter cover nut for the Alaska Basic pump. It is the large threaded retaining nut that secures the pre-filter cover to the pump body, allowing the cover to be removed and refitted — typically by hand — for routine basket cleaning and maintenance. As position 1 in the official Fluidra exploded view, it is a primary wear and replacement part on the pump’s pre-filter assembly.

Kompatibilitás

This part is designed specifically for the AstralPool Alaska Basic pump (parent SKU 69386), covering the full Alaska Basic range (69383–69387). If you are unsure whether this nut fits your exact pump variant, check the model code on your pump’s label or contact our team before ordering — always quote your pump’s model code to confirm fitment.

Miért fontos az eredetiség?

Using an original AstralPool cover nut ensures the correct thread pitch, diameter, and material strength to form a watertight seal against the pump body without over-stressing the pre-filter neck. Third-party substitutes can deform the sealing O-ring or cause hairline cracks in the pre-filter housing — a costly outcome compared to the low price of a genuine spare. Tighten firmly by hand to the stop; no tools are needed or recommended.

Telepítés

Remove the old or damaged nut by rotating counter-clockwise by hand. Clean the mating threads on the pre-filter housing and inspect the cover O-ring before fitting the new nut. Thread the new nut on clockwise and tighten firmly by hand only — do not use tools or extra leverage, as this can deform the O-ring or crack the pre-filter neck. Once secured, prime the pump and check for leaks before returning to normal operation.
