Rated at 80W with a maximum flow of 23 m³/h at a UV dose of 16 30mJ/cm², the Norsup Supernova handles pools up to 65 m³ — making it a well-matched primary disinfection stage for most private in-ground pools. The unit operates at up to 2 bar, fitting neatly into standard residential filtration circuits without the need for pressure-reduction hardware.

Amalgam lamp & disinfection efficacy

Unlike conventional low-pressure UV-C lamps, the Supernova uses an amalgam lamp to deliver a higher and more stable UV output across a wide range of operating conditions. This technology targets the RNA and DNA of pathogens, bacteria, algae, and other micro-organisms at the point of flow, allowing chlorine or salt-chlorination dosing to be significantly reduced while maintaining safe water quality.

Duplex stainless steel vessel

The reactor chamber is constructed from duplex stainless steel — a grade chosen specifically for its resistance to the aggressive chemistry found in both chlorinated and salt-water electrolysis pools. This material choice means the unit will not corrode or degrade in saline environments, making it equally suitable for bio pools, chlorine pools, and salt pools without modification.

Pipework connection & installation

The 50/63 mm glue socket and glue spigot ends combined with the 1½” female threaded ports give installers genuine flexibility: the unit can be bonded directly into PVC pipework on either side or connected via threaded unions, minimising the need for transition fittings in a typical plant room layout. The 2 bar pressure rating is compatible with all common variable-speed and single-speed pool pumps used in European residential installations.
