The BL120-250 is a saddle clamp injection fitting that mounts onto a 50 mm outside-diameter PVC pipe and provides the injection point for chemical dosing from a Hanna Instruments BL series pump. It clamps around the pipe, seals against it and accepts the injection valve so treated chemical is introduced directly into the circulating water. It is a standard installation accessory for the BL10x, BL12x and BL13x dosing controller and pump families used in commercial pool water treatment.

Designed for use with Hanna Instruments BL10x, BL12x and BL13x series dosing pumps and controllers. The saddle is sized for rigid pipe with an outside diameter of 50 mm, which is the common size on commercial pool circulation and return lines. Check the actual pipe OD before ordering, as 32 mm, 40 mm and 63 mm lines require a different saddle.

Où se trouve-t-il ?

The saddle clamp is fitted on the pressure side of the circulation system, downstream of the filter and any heater, so dosed chemical is carried into the pool and not through the filter media. The pipe is drilled at the saddle position, the clamp is bolted around the pipe with its gasket, and the injection valve from the dosing pump is threaded into the saddle port. Injection into the top or side of a horizontal pipe is preferred to avoid sediment and trapped air at the injection point.

Durée de vie

The clamp body itself is a passive fitting and normally lasts as long as the pipework, but the gasket and the injection valve seal are wear parts exposed to concentrated chemical. Inspect the connection for weeping or crystal build-up at every service interval and replace the seal if leakage appears. If chlorine or acid deposits harden around the port, clean or replace the injection valve rather than over-tightening the clamp.

Remarques concernant la commande

Supplied as a single saddle clamp injector for 50 mm pipe; it is not a complete dosing kit and does not include the pump, dosing tube or suction assembly. Separate acid and chlorine dosing lines each require their own injection point and therefore their own saddle. Order one unit per injection location.
