Sta-Rite – Pump Lid O-Ring for 5PXF / 5P6R / SW5P6R-VSD IntelliFlo (R355051440)

This is the genuine Sta-Rite replacement O-ring (ref. R355051440) that seals the pre-filter lid on the IntelliFlo SW5P6R-VSD, 5PXF, and 5P6R series variable-speed pool pumps. A correctly seated lid O-ring is essential for maintaining a watertight seal, ensuring proper pump priming and preventing air ingestion that can disrupt filtration performance. Replacing a worn or damaged O-ring is one of the most effective ways to resolve a pump that loses prime or shows visible leaks around the strainer lid.

Kompatibilität

This O-ring is designed specifically for the Sta-Rite IntelliFlo SW5P6R-VSD, 5P6R, 5P4R, and 5PXF VSF/VSD series in-ground pool pumps. Always verify your pump model and part number before ordering to ensure a correct fit, as lid O-rings are not universal across all Sta-Rite pump families.

Warum Echtheit zählt

Genuine Sta-Rite parts are manufactured to exact tolerances, ensuring a perfect compression fit against the pump lid and pump body. Aftermarket O-rings may differ slightly in cross-section or compound hardness, leading to premature degradation, air leaks, or seal failure — especially in saltwater or heated pool applications where rubber compounds are under greater stress.

Installation

Before fitting, clean the O-ring seat thoroughly and apply a thin coat of silicone-based lubricant (never petroleum-based) to the O-ring to ease seating and extend its service life. The O-ring should be inspected each season and replaced at the first sign of cracking, flattening, or deformation. No specialist tools are required, though it is advisable to have a qualified pool technician perform the work if in doubt.
