Polaris – Randomizer Ball for Vac-Sweep 65 Pool Cleaner

The Randomizer Ball is a small but critical component of the Polaris Vac-Sweep 65 automatic pool cleaner’s direction-control mechanism. Marble-sized and made of plastic, it sits inside the centre chamber and randomly blocks one of the four randomizer tubes to continuously change the cleaner’s direction, ensuring full pool coverage. Replacing a worn or stuck randomizer ball restores the unpredictable, thorough cleaning pattern the Polaris 65 is designed to deliver.

How It Works

As water pressure drives the cleaner, the randomizer ball shifts freely within the centre chamber, blocking a different randomizer tube each time. This randomises the direction change that occurs approximately every 15–25 seconds during operation, preventing the cleaner from repeating the same path and leaving areas uncleaned. If the ball stops moving, the cleaner will follow a fixed route and miss large sections of the pool floor and walls.

Compatibility

This genuine Polaris replacement randomizer ball is designed specifically for the Polaris Vac-Sweep 65 (model 613000 / W1120000) above-ground pressure-side pool cleaner. It is listed as position 7 in the official Fluidra exploded-view diagram for this model. Always verify your cleaner’s model number before ordering to ensure correct fitment.

Installation

Replacing the randomizer ball requires removing the surface module top to access the centre chamber. The ball simply drops into place — no tools or adhesives are needed. If the randomizer tube is moving but the ball is not shifting within 2 minutes of normal operation, this part should be replaced promptly to maintain effective cleaning performance.
